Love the Stage!
Public speaking used to terrify me. Through trial and error, lots of training and practising, I’ve grown to love the stage and have discovered that anyone can too!
The better you are at public speaking, the more impact you have on your audience.
This training equips you with practical tools – which you can start using the next day – to improve your public speaking skills.
Who is this training for?
– anyone who talks in front of groups
– anyone who gives presentations or would like to
– anyone in sales
– have a speech coming up? This training is also for you.
Key concepts of this training:
Content, purpose, body language, voice, eye contact, audience analysis and some juicy PowerPoint horror stories.
About the Trainer:
Per Kristian Haakonsen is former JCI Local President, former National VP and is currently on the Skills and Development Committee of JCI Norway. He started his training career in JCI and has stage experience from seven countries across two continents. He specialises in public speaking.

Managing emotions in the workplace is an important part of today’s health and wellbeing at work agenda – and looking after your own and others’ mental health at work is rightly receiving much attention within the workplace.
This session will introduce Daniel Goleman’s five components of Emotional Intelligence and we’ll look at how an understanding of Emotional Intelligence can help improve mental health at work.
This event is suitable if you work on your own or work in a team – the session is also suitable for anyone who manages others – or is managed by others!
We’ll be looking at simple, everyday techniques that can be used to help manage emotions at work as well as giving you an opportunity to share your own tips and techniques for remaining calm when you’re feeling stressed, tired and…emotional.
Jon has recently completed a four year project to help Sheffield Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust improve patient experience and looking at emotional intelligence formed a key part of the project.
